Cronus
Every Second
Every minute, every hour,
Every movement we take has power.
Time is endless,
Time is dear,
Time is fleeting,
Time is clear.
Oh, Cronus, god of time divine,
Let me wander worlds beyond the line.
Let my spirit drift where moments slow,
And grant me speed where stars still glow.
I wonder what the future hides for me —
Will I be strong, or lost and lonely?
Will peace fill my heart like the calm of the sea?
Will I still dream and gaze endlessly?
The human race evolves with every year,
Technology shifts with every frontier.
Yet life grows shorter week by week,
And meaning fades the more we seek.
If only I could bend the thread of time and space,
Guide the lost and help them find their place,
See what lies beyond the world’s last rhyme,
And pause existence — just to think — for a time.
